Scientists are using Google DeepMind's AlphaFold protein database to accelerate research in nearly every field of biology. As stories of it's use become increasingly more impactful, Google DeepMind approached MultiAdaptor to create a series of installation artworks to case study some of these stories.
MultiAdaptor approached me in the early stages of the project to explore how these artworks could then be brought to life through motion.
I developed some key motion principles and 3D animations of the proteins from the database, which culminated in a versatile set of motion assets and templates that Google DeepMind could apply to everything from event visuals through to social media posts.
